A Taste of New York in San Diego

By January 10, 2017 No Comments

Bringing a slice of the Big Apple to America’s Finest City, The New Yorker transports you to the East Coast. Set inside the historic Chinese Laundry building built in 1923, the menu boasts New York Style pizza slices and whole pies, sandwiches, pasta, and more. Start with the exceptional Caprese salad, made with Burrata instead of fresh mozzarella that adds a decadently creamy touch to the fresh tomatoes and basil.  The highlight of the menu is the Neapolitan-inspired pizzas made with hand-tossed dough.  The New Yorker always has four types of slices on hand, but if you have the time, order a whole pie or personal pizza customized with toppings. You can’t go wrong with the San Diego Pizza, fresh spinach, pepperoni, bacon and gorgonzola. If you still have room after the pizza, try a slice of New York Cheesecake or house made Tiramisu. A full bar caters means you can sip on local brews or homemade craft cocktails.
