“Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.” —Winnie the Pooh
An’s Dry Cleaning, a new gelato shop on the corner of Adams Avenue and 30th Street in Normal Heights, may have been who Pooh was describing with the amount of love they put into their gelato. To celebrate the new movie “Christopher Robin” which opened in theaters (Aug. 3), they created a flavor called Fluff, named after Pooh’s signature stuffing. Fluff hand folds Savannah Bee Company’s award-winning wildflower honey with Jackie’s Jams blueberry marmalade, handmade with local organic blueberries, to create a gelato flavor befitting of Hundred Acre Wood. The limited-time flavor will be available until August 17 and is an ideal heatwave escape for those looking to indulge in a themed gelato and a movie experience.
An’s menu of refined sweet and savory gelato fabrics (aka flavors) — including Termeh (saffron vanilla pistachio), Silk (almond sage) and Gingham (coffee candied orange) — is stored in a classic Pozzetti case in an ambience that mimics a dry cleaner, paying homage to the former tenant (which literally was named An’s Alterations & Dry Cleaning) in a rather unexpected way.
