Burger Lounge Hillcrest Rolls Out “Flora” Menu in Their Real Food Innovation Test Kitchen
Burger Lounge has launched a new menu of plant-based food within its Real Food Innovation Kitchen, exclusively at the Hillcrest, San Diego location. The location is testing a menu of plant-based options to complement their original grass-fed burgers.
“When we began 13-years ago, we made a commitment to source the highest quality grass-fed beef possible and we are putting that same emphasis on sourcing our new plant-based menu, of course with taste and flavor at the forefront.” says J. Dean Loring, co-founder of Burger Lounge. “We could not be more excited to share our Flora menu with our burger-loving community.”
The new Fauna and Flora menu at Burger Lounge places equal emphasis on burgers made from responsibly sourced meats and plant-based options. Now, non-meat eaters and replacement meat eaters can enjoy a complete burger experience, even including dairy-free milkshakes.
New menu items include plant-based burger builds like the Flora S.O.B. “Son of a Butcher” Burger with Sweet Earth® plant-based protein, vegan cheddar, caramelized onions, pickles and BL 1000 Island; the Flora Keto Cave Dweller with Sweet Earth® plant-based protein, roasted squash, gem lettuce, tomato and BL Vinaigrette served on a cauliflower sandwich thin; and the revitalized Flora Lounge Burger with Sweet Earth® protein, vegan cheddar, fresh onion, tomato, gem lettuce, pickles and BL 1000 island. Burgers will all be ¼ lb. and available as singles and doubles. Those looking for shareable starters and side dishes can choose between items like the Cowboy Fries with choice of Sweet Earth® plant-based protein or Texas spiced grass-fed beef, melted Organic or vegan cheddar, caramelized onion and scallions; Dharma Bites with 100% plant-based ancient grains with a slate of BL dipping sauces. Cashew based dairy-free milkshakes will also be available in strawberry and vanilla.
Located at 406 University Ave., San Diego, CA 92103, Burger Lounge Hillcrest is open for pick up, online ordering, delivery, or patio dining from Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M and Friday & Saturday: 11:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.
