Top Chef winner, Brooke Williamson will be heading to multiple locations in San Diego with a food truck sharing tasty bites from Friday, May 31-Monday, June 3. The food truck is sponsored by Energy Upgrade California, the consumer initiative to promote smart energy use. July 6 – Baja Wine & Italian Street Food
On Thursday, June 6th at 6 p.m. at CUCINA enoteca in Del Mar, guests are invited to sip through the exciting world of Baja wine with a CUCINA twist as Master Somm Chris Miller, showcases his latest project, TRESOMM. Eat and sip at tasting stations of Tresomm wines cleverly paired with Italian-style street food snacks.TRESOMM is the new project between three friends, who all happen to be sommeliers; Chris Miller (Master Sommelier), Taylor Grant (Advanced), and Conner Mitchell (Certified). July 6 – Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner

On Monday, June 17, Dough Nations will host the official after party for the Team Negroni 2019 charity bike ride. The bike ride ends at Dough Nations, where participants will enjoy a selection of pizza, salads, Aperol spritzes, Negronis and more. Draft beer and craft cocktails will also be available, including the Kentucky Tippler, made with Old Forrester bourbon, lemon, honey, grapefruit zest and R&D sarsaparilla bitters; Barrio Libre, made with Brugal 1888, Mexican Coke and lime; among others.

June 18 – Sake Dinner at Herb & Wood
Herb & Wood is excited to announce a sake paired dinner hosted by Chef Brian Malarkey, which will serve as a preview of Animae, the highly anticipated upcoming contemporary Asian influenced restaurant from the Puffer Malarkey Collective. The event, which will take place on June 18th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, will feature guest chefs Joe Magnanelli, the Executive Chef of Animae, and Anthony Pascale, the Chef and Owner of Saiko Sushi, cooking alongside Brian Malarkey and Herb & Wood’s Executive Pastry Chef Adrian Mendoza as they prepare a 5-course sake tasting menu.
Partnered with HOYO Sake, guests will be guided through a beautiful evening of cuisine in the stunning Herb & Wood Gallery. The night will start with cocktail hour and appetizers, followed by a four course dinner highlighting experimental dishes from Animae, such as Animae’s interpretation of Okonomiyaki (a savory cabbage pancake,) as well as highlight signature dishes from Chef Pascale and his creative sushi from Saiko Sushi. June 29 – San Diego Art Institute debuts FORGING TERRITORIES
San Diego Art Institute, the 78-year old art institution in Balboa Park and only contemporary arts center in our region, hosts FORGING TERRITORIES: Queer Afro and Latinx Contemporary Art beginning Saturday, June 29 through November 3, 2019. Focusing on cultural equity, SDAI’s newest exhibit explores conversations around talented but underrepresented African American and Latinx artists who identify as LGBTQ – and serendipitously launches almost to the day with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, considered the seminal event leading to the modern LGBTQ movement. FORGING TERRITORIES is curated by Ruben Esparza, founder of the internationally shown Queer Biennial, and will bring together nearly twenty established and emerging artists who work in such varied mediums as painting, drawing, photography, film and performance.
