On July 23, Waterfront Park was transformed into a Craft Beer Comic Con with Heroes Brew Fest. Featuring more than a hundred craft beers from over 40 breweries, the Heroes Brew Fest also featured the Caped Crusader Costume Contest, music, and a good cause: Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station! The Warrior Foundation~Freedom Station vows to be the leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. Our top beer pick of the day was Karl Strauss red wine barrel aged Red Trolley, a medium-bodied Irish Red Ale with flavors of toffee, hints of dried raisins and currants aged for 6 months in Long Shadow Winery Pirouette barrels.
