JRDN at Pacific Beach’s Tower 23 has always brought their brunch A-game, but new menu items has elevated the meal to a whole new level. New items include:Breakfast Grilled Cheese: Fresh burrata on cranberry walnut bread with strawberry, mint and balsamicThe highlight of their new brunch items, the breakfast grilled cheese doesn’t rely on eggs and bacon to create a grilled cheese made for brunch – instead the sweetness of strawberries combine with creamy burrata, balsamic, and fresh basil to create a truly decadent and unusual breakfast sandwich. Hats off to Chef David Warner for this creation.Smoked Salmon Hash: Potato and taro topped with arugula, fresh smoked salmon, dill cream and 2 over-easy eggsBaked Lobster: ½ lobster with housemade pico de gallo, panko, and Parmesan cheeseAnd you can’t forget about old menu favorites, like:Lobster b.l.t. with tarragon aioli, applewood smoked bacon, butter lettuce, and tomato on brioche. Not quite awake enough for the 1/2 lobster above? You can still get your lobster fix from their delicious Lobster BLT!Fried calamari with broccoli, served with lemon and sweet chili aioli. Perfect for sharing, overlooking Pacific Beach!Roasted brussel sprouts nuoc cham, carrots, lime, cilantro, jalapeño. JRDN is well know for their tasty brussels, but many people may not know that nuoc cham, which gives the sprouts their distinctive and fresh flavor in this dish, is a Vietnamese dipping sauce. Steamed mussels with chorizo, garlic, chardonnay, and herb butter. One of the highlights of the menu, the steamed mussels are full of flavor – you will want to soak up every last bit of the delicious sauce from the bowl.Brunch at JRDN is served on Saturdays & Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
