On Memorial Day, brunch will be served both downstairs and on the rooftop for locals and visitors alike looking to celebrate the holiday out of the office. Rustic Root’s scenic rooftop, fantastic American / global comfort cuisine with a focus on local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, plus its incredible craft cocktail program—which now includes a craft Bloody Mary cart—makes it one of San Diego’s best rooftop destinations for a Memorial Day Weekend brunch.  FIREHOUSE American Eatery + Lounge will celebrate Memorial Day Weekend in true American fashion with an all-day, all-American BBQ from on Monday, May 30. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can enjoy $1 hot dogs, $1 ribs, $3 Coors Light; with a live music from a DJ starting at 3 p.m. to keep the party going    In light of Memorial Day and its lead into summer, Grant Grill will host a special Sunday Social to kick off the season! On Sunday, May 29 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., guests and locals can delight in new and unique brunch specials, including the waffle croque-monieur, chorizo, egg and piquillo pepper flatbread, strawberry rhubarb yogurt parfait and more, while enjoying vintage beats from DJ entertainment in the lounge. The Chocolate Tasting will teach you about the different types of cacao and how Dallmann’s makes their fine chocolate on May 29 at 4pm.
