Point Loma Fish Shop Freshens Up the Seafood Scene

Point Loma Fish Shop recently opened on Rosecrans, brought to us by the same owners as P.B. Fish Shop (there are also locations in Encinitas and Hermosa Beach). Since the P.B. location usually has a line down the block, we are excited a new Fish Shop opened up, offering the same menu as other locations with customizable fresh fish options. Their concept seems simple – fish so fresh it’s practically still swimming, cooked perfectly, seasoned and served however you like it. So what makes Fish Shop stand out from the hundreds of other seafood options? One guess is because Point Loma Fish Shop makes EVERYTHING in house — even their ranch dressing. And what really sets Point Loma Fish Shop apart is the incredible customer service they offer in a casual, counter service restaurant. The personalized menu means you can pick your favorite seafood, select a seasoning, and choose between having it in a taco, sandwich, salad, or on a plate with sides (Insider tip: go for the onion rings — you won’t regret it!). Prefer to let them do the thinking for you? You can also try al a carte options like their award-winning tacos, soups, and sandwiches.

Once the weather warms up (or their heaters arrive!), we will be loving the roomy, dog-friendly patio as well.

Their award-winning TKO Taco is a must-try, with grilled mahi-mahi (in the addictive Fish Shop Seasoning), shredded cabbage, cheese and house-made tropical mango salsa, drizzled with house cilantro white sauce.

Prefer to live on the wild side? The Spicy Dorado Taco brings some heat with Fish Shop marinated mahi mahi topped with siracha aioli slaw and avocado lime drizzle.

Not your average clam chowder, Point Loma Fish Shop takes their soup up a notch with smoked Andouille sausage. Definitely go for a bread bowl to soak up every last decadent drop!
