San Diego’s The Westgate Hotel, invites guests to ring in the New Year by enjoying a night filled with superb food, drinks, and entertainment. Guests will enjoy an eclectic Jazz experience in the hotel’s Versailles Ballroom. A five-course dinner with wine pairing and Champagne toasts is $219 per person. Tax and gratuity are additional.
The year may end at midnight but the celebration continues for those who choose to make the Westgate their year-end destination. Guests can pair the evening’s affair with one of three exclusive overnight packages ranging from $850 to $3,500.

Lakehouse Hotel & Resort, and its on-site lakefront restaurant Decoy Dockside Dining, invite guests to experience an all-night (and overnight) celebration of epic proportions. For $85 per person, guests can enjoy a three-course Decoy dinner. For just $15 more, the evening continues with dancing and drinks at the dock, accompanied by entertainment from DJ Noel, a Water & Light Show, and the essential Champagne Toast.
A special New Year’s Eve room package, which includes two tickets to Decoy’s NYE party, is also available for those who wish to extend the evening’s events. Early reservations are encouraged!

Felice Anno Nuovo da Monello! Little Italy’s irresistible Monello is offering New Year’s Eve indulgences that will leave guests wishing the year (or the night) didn’t have to end. In addition to their menu staples, the Cheese Wheel will be overflowing with house-made Squid Ink Pasta, Prawns and Truffle. Prepared and served tableside, dinner will be served from 5-11 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, and reservations are required.

Fuel up for a day of New Year’s Eve festivities at Union Kitchen & Tap’s Gaslamp location with brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and return that night for a live DJ from 7:30 p.m. to close, accompanied by a midnight champagne toast and plenty of party favors suited to the occasion. Join Backyard Kitchen & Tap in Pacific Beach for their Fire and Ice New Year’s Eve bash! JSix & Upper East Bar

Start off the evening at JSix restaurant where Executive Chef Anthony Sinsay has designed a dinner menu filled with classic California cuisine with a Filipino twist. The 4-course prix fixe menu includes options such as Lumpia Shanghai with garlic-chili vinegar, seasonal Winter Squash with Noir goat cheese, pickled coriander seeds and shiso, Miso Maple Glazed Duck, and Purple Yam Gratin with coconut custard and Ube ice cream. After enjoying a delicious meal downstairs, head to Upper East Bar, JSix’s rooftop bar where a DJ will be spinning from 8 p.m. until the new year. The event is included if you dine at JSix beforehand or cost $25 if you are only attending the party. The Duck Dive
Get the party started early on New Year’s Eve at Pacific Beach’s premier neighborhood beach lounge, The Duck Dive. Head in for brunch and kick off the celebration at their ‘Rosé All Day’ party. From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., ring in the new year at Duck Dive during their ‘Glitter & Gold’ Party. Bottle service and booth seating will be available with a reservation, but there will be no cover to get into the bar. Duck Dive will have a photo booth to help you remember the night for years to come! They will also hand out Hair of the Dog vouchers all night at the door, which give guests a free Bloody Mary during New Year’s Day Brunch the next day.
The Smoking Gun
Celebrate the New Year at the Gaslamp’s most happening cocktail bar and restaurant, The Smoking Gun. Voted 2017 ‘Best New Bar’ by a recent poll, you’re sure to enjoy everything about it. The Smoking Gun will host a New Year’s Eve Purple Rain Party, where all guests are encouraged to wear purple attire. A DJ will spin tunes while guests dance it up in their best purple outfits. Inquire with the bar about the available party package, including a champagne toast and Spill the Beans voucher to help with your hangover the next day.
