Every third Tuesday join Valle de Guadalupe’s Chef Sergio Castro at The Wine Pub to enjoy three tacos paired with three wines — all for $25. Beginning at 6 p.m., taco fanatics can head to the Point Loma restaurant’s outdoor patio for a community fiesta unlike any other. Tuesdays in San Diego mean one thing – tacos for everyone. To transform the tradition of ‘Taco Tuesday,’ The Wine Pub created Taco and Vino Tuesday, pairing a flight of tacos with a flight of wines.
We sampled March’s Taco & Vino pairing, starting with a shrimp taco with cabbage slaw and red pepper aioli, paired with Cass White Blend. Next, the Chicken Chimichurri taco with fresh avocado paired with Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir. Last, the Carne Asada taco with fresh avocado and pico de gallo paired with Brady Cabernet Sauvignon. We have long written about the incredible cuisine in Valle de Guadalupe, from street tacos to gourmet chef-driven dinners. Now, we’ve found everything we love about Guadalupe cuisine right here in our backyard at The Wine Pub. Fresh flavors and artfully prepared dishes will keep us coming back!
Enjoy your tacos and wine around a fire pit on their beautiful outdoor, dog-friendly patio, or inside the lovely restaurant. The Wine Pub is SO dog friendly that they even have a special menu just for your pooch!
The next Taco & Vino is scheduled for April 17th but if you can’t wait that long to try Sergio Castro’s delicious food, check out The Wine Pub’s newest series, Meet the Baja Winemaker on April 12th. The guided, four-course dinner pairs Cava Maciel wines with a menu created by Castro.
